Licensing & Credential Requirements
Georgia
Travel Rad Tech positions require active ARRT certification in the appropriate modality. Most facilities also expect current BLS certification through the American Heart Association. Georgia does not require a separate state license for ARRT-certified radiologic technologists beyond national certification and BLS. Generalist rad tech positions typically require ARRT (R) and competency across portable, fluoroscopy, and general diagnostic work. Facilities with surgical suites expect C-arm experience. Some states require a separate fluoroscopy permit.
California
Travel Rad Tech positions require active ARRT certification in the appropriate modality. Most facilities also expect current BLS certification through the American Heart Association. California requires a CRT (California Radiology Technologist) certificate issued by the CDPH Radiologic Health Branch. Fluoroscopy permits are required for certain modalities.
