Licensing & Credential Requirements

An active, unencumbered RN license is required for travel PACU positions. New York is not a Nurse Licensure Compact state. Travel RNs must obtain an individual New York RN license before starting an assignment. Apply through the New York Board of Registration in Nursing well before your start date. BLS certification is universally required. Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required depending on the unit and facility. Verify specific requirements with your recruiter.
