PACU Registered Nurse — Glens Falls, NY

Days | Friday, Saturday & Sunday | 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM | 13-Week Contract

This PACU position is a weekend-only day shift role supporting a busy post-anesthesia care unit. You'll work as an integral member of an interdisciplinary care team, providing direct patient care across the full scope of pre- and post-procedural recovery.

Clinical Scope

• AM admissions, surgical block management, and post-anesthesia recovery
• Procedural sedation monitoring and management
• High-acuity post-operative patient care in collaboration with the attending physician and care team
• Delegation and team leadership within the RN scope of practice under the New York State Nurse Practice Act

Requirements

• 2+ years of PACU experience (required)
• Procedural sedation experience (required)
• Experience with AM admissions, blocks, and recovery (required)
• Previous travel nursing experience (highly preferred)
• Active New York RN license (required at submission)
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (required)
• Personal vehicle required

• Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday — 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
• Contract: 13 weeks | Start: November 2026
• Orientation: 8 hours (non-billable)
• Scrubs: Solid color personal scrubs; no designs, cartoons, or hoodies
• RTO: Must be declared at submission; no more than 5 days; holiday availability required
• Verbal de-escalation training (Welle or CPI) required prior to start
• COVID vaccination encouraged, not required
