Licensing & Credential Requirements
Travel CT Tech positions require active ARRT certification in the appropriate modality. Most facilities also expect current BLS certification through the American Heart Association. Texas requires MRT (Medical Radiologic Technologist) certification from the Texas Department of State Health Services in addition to ARRT. Many facilities require ARRT (R) as a primary credential in addition to the CT specialty. IV certification or competency verification for contrast administration is increasingly standard.
