Cath Lab Registered Nurses provide direct patient care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology procedures. They perform conscious sedation, monitor hemodynamics, manage arterial and venous sheaths, administer anticoagulants, and respond to procedural emergencies including cardiac arrest. ACLS certification is required; many facilities prefer PALS and hemodynamic monitoring experience. Augusta accounts for 1 of the 2 open Cath Lab RN positions in Georgia, with the remainder spread across 1 other city. Typical contracts run 20 weeks at 40 hours per week.
