Night Shift Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Telemetry
Position Overview
The facility is seeking night shift RNs for a 16-week contract on an Acute Care of Elderly (ACE) and Alternate Level of Care unit. You'll care for adult patients requiring acute medical-surgical and telemetry monitoring in a fast-paced inpatient setting.
Shift Details
- Schedule: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Hours: Choose 36 or 48 hours per week
- Weekend commitment: 1 shift per week or 2 shifts every other weekend
- Holiday requirement: At least 1 holiday shift during the contract
- Location: Rochester, NY (candidates must reside more than 50 miles away)
Requirements
- Active New York RN license
- AHA BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year recent experience in acute medical-surgical or telemetry nursing
- 2 years of U.S. work experience required for international candidates
- Flexibility to adapt to facility scheduling needs
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years recent med-surg/telemetry experience
- Charge nurse experience (requested but not required)
Contract Terms
- Duration: 16 weeks with 112 guaranteed hours
- Flexibility: Block booking may be requested but is not guaranteed
What You'll Do
Provide direct patient care, monitor cardiac telemetry, administer medications, coordinate care plans, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on a unit managing medically complex elderly and alternate-level patients.
