Travel Interventional Rad Tech positions require active ARRT certification in the appropriate modality. Most facilities also expect current BLS certification through the American Heart Association. Texas requires MRT (Medical Radiologic Technologist) certification from the Texas Department of State Health Services in addition to ARRT. Beyond ARRT (R), facilities commonly prefer the Vascular Interventional (VI) or Cardiac Interventional (CI) advanced certification. Scrub and sterile technique competency is required.
