Electrophysiology Registered Nurses provide patient care during EP studies, cardiac ablation procedures, and cardiac device implantations. They administer conscious sedation, monitor intracardiac rhythms, manage anticoagulation protocols, and provide post-procedure care including device interrogation assistance. ACLS certification is required; experience with 3D mapping systems is preferred. Licensing & Credential Requirements
An active, unencumbered RN license is required. Georgia is a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. RNs holding a multistate compact license issued by their home state can practice in Georgia without obtaining a separate state license, which simplifies onboarding significantly. ACLS certification is required for all cardiac RN assignments. BLS is universally required. Experience with cardiac mapping systems (CARTO, EnSite) and device implantation workflows is expected.
