Telemetry RN — 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Telemetry RN for its cardiac and neuro telemetry unit. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced environment, managing post-intervention and acute cardiac patients requiring continuous monitoring.
Unit Details
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (36 guaranteed hours/week)
- Schedule: 3–4 weekend shifts per month; no on-call
- Float Areas: Progressive Care Unit and Medical/Surgical units
Clinical Scope
You'll care for patients post-cardiac catheterization, pacemaker placement, ablation, valve repair, watchman procedures, and cardioversion. Strong EKG interpretation, IV insertion, and chest tube management skills are essential. Experience with these procedures is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license (CA)
- ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications
- Demonstrated EKG interpretation, IV start, and chest tube management competency
