Med Surg

Medical/Surgical RN — Thousand Oaks, CA

13-Week Contract | Days | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed

This medical unit manages a diverse adult patient population with an emphasis on geriatric care, dialysis patients, and patients with complex medical needs. The team operates in a collaborative environment with rotating charge nurse coverage and patient care technician support across shifts.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Rotating weekends
• 36 guaranteed hours per week

Clinical Scope

• Blood transfusions
• Foley and nasogastric tube insertions
• Monitoring and care of dialysis and immunocompromised patients
• General medical-surgical acuity with a geriatric focus

Float Potential

Travel nurses may be asked to float within the Med/Surg, Oncology, Orthopedic, and Surgical units.

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license
• BLS certification
• Experience with COVID-19, dialysis, and geriatric patient populations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with blood transfusions
• Proficiency with Foley and NGT insertions

Dress Code

• Scrubs of your choice
• No visible piercings; tattoos must be covered
