CVOR Tech – Day Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) team. You'll scrub cases in a fast-paced surgical environment, assisting with a range of cardiac and vascular procedures while maintaining strict aseptic technique and adherence to universal protocol.
Schedule & Contract Details
- Shift: 4x10 hours, days (06:00–16:30)
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: January 4, 2027
- On-Call: Vascular typically requires 7–10 days per month (weekends included); Hearts typically requires 10–15 days per month plus 2 full weekends. Call load may vary based on staffing levels.
Requirements
- Current BLS and NBSTSA certification
- ACLS preferred
- 1+ year of surgical technology experience
- Proficiency with coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), angioplasty/stenting, aortic aneurysm repair, and related procedures
- Strong knowledge of aseptic technique, sharps safety, specimen handling, radiation safety, and universal protocol
- Ability to screen for and manage retained foreign objects and mesh measuring
Unit Details
You'll work in a 5-room surgical suite serving adult and geriatric patients. The team includes IV specialists and radiology support. Surgical technologists in this setting scrub cases only; they do not circulate.
