Emergency Department RN — Travel Contract | Saratoga Springs, NY

Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 3×12-Hour Shifts | 13-Week Contract

This combined adult and pediatric Emergency Department serves a broad patient population — neonates through geriatrics — with an active, high-volume clinical environment. The unit sees approximately 120 visits daily across 36 treatment rooms, with strong interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, phlebotomy, social services, and rapid response teams.

Schedule & Float

• Night shift: 19:00–07:30, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Block scheduling will be considered
• Floating within the hospital may be required at manager's discretion based on skillset
• Up to 3 call-offs permitted per contract

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of current ED experience
• NY State RN license (permanent license required; in hand at time of submission)
• BLS, PALS, NIHSS required prior to start
• ACLS and TNCC preferred
• experience required
• Telemetry skills, 12-lead EKG acquisition, and dysrhythmia interpretation required
• Candidates must pass an on-site proctored EKG exam (≥85% overall; 100% accuracy on critical rhythms)
• Pre-screening EKG assessment must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing

Additional Requirements

• Flu vaccine required; medical or religious exemption documentation must be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to start date
• Candidates with a permanent address within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
• Pre-employment orientation modules (average 12–15 hours) must be completed by 7:00 AM the Wednesday before the start date
• Orientation: approximately 24 hours
