Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nurse for a 13-week contract assignment in Fort Worth, TX. This is a full-time position offering 36 guaranteed hours per week on a 4×10 day shift schedule (06:30–17:00).
Scheduling & On-Call
- Standard schedule: Four 10-hour days per week
- On-call commitment: 2 days per week
- Weekend call: 1–2 weekends per month (typically one weekend)
Role Details
You'll provide perioperative nursing support in the cardiovascular operating room, assisting with cardiac and vascular surgical procedures. You'll work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Requirements
- Current RN licensure (Texas)
- CNOR or equivalent certification preferred
- CVOR experience strongly preferred
- BLS certification required; ACLS recommended
- Ability to float to other OR areas as needed
