Interventional Radiology Technologist – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to join a high-volume combined IR/Cardiology lab. You'll work in a fast-paced environment performing diagnostic and interventional procedures, with approximately 90% IR cases and 10% cardiology/vascular/EP procedures.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: Monday–Friday, 07:30–16:00 (8-hour shifts)
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Call Requirement: Minimum 7 call days per month (typically 2 call days per week for two weeks, plus 1 call weekend per month); 30-minute callback for STEMIs
- Weekend Coverage: Every third weekend
- No float requirement
- No holiday time off permitted after booking
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years IR experience
- ACLS and BLS/BCLS
- ARRT or RCIS certification
- Proficiency in scrubbing, circulating, telemetry, and EKG lead placement
Preferred
- ARRT Advanced Cert, RCES, or RCIS with medical experience
- Experience with device implants (PPM, ICD)
Clinical Scope
You'll assist providers during diagnostic and interventional radiology, cath lab, and cardiology procedures. Responsibilities include scrubbing, maintaining sterile fields, circulating, and monitoring. Medication administration is performed by RN only. Patient population includes adults and geriatrics.
Unit Details
- Orientation: 40–80 hours
- Scrubs provided
- You'll begin orientation directly on the unit on Mondays until completing required training
