NICU Travel RN — Burbank, CA

Day Shift | 3×12-Hour (07:00–19:00) | 13-Week Contract | Start: ASAP

This NICU position supports a high-acuity neonatal unit caring for premature and critically ill neonates and infants. The unit manages a diverse patient population with diagnoses including prematurity, HIE, RDS, hyperbilirubinemia, neonatal abstinence syndrome, IUGR, hypoglycemia, and rule-out sepsis.

Clinical Scope & Skills Required

• NICU Level III/IV experience; care for neonates < 24–28 weeks gestational age
• Ventilator management: AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP; HFOV
• Therapeutic Hypothermia
• UAC/UVC management; arterial and central line care
• IV vasopressors, surfactants, and steroids
• Tube placement and management (oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal)
• Feedings: bottle, breast, and gavage
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Attendance at high-risk deliveries — Baby Catcher experience is required

Schedule & Coverage

• Weekend requirement: 3 shifts per month
• Must commit to 3 of 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
• Float to nearby sister facilities may be required

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of NICU experience
• Active BLS and NRP certifications
• Compact RN license must be in hand at submission
• 36-hour orientation
• 2 professional references covering the past 3 years
• Local candidates (within 50 miles) accepted
• Pending licenses not accepted
• Scrub color: Any
