Orthopedic and Medical-Surgical Nurse

Location: Bowling Green, KY

Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

About the Role

Clinical Environment

This mixed-specialty unit manages orthopedic post-operative patients and general medical-surgical cases. Physicians occasionally perform bedside procedures on the unit. The team includes nursing support staff (PCTs and patient care associates), with a unit secretary present during day shifts.

Scheduling & Flexibility

• 4-week scheduling blocks
• Full-time commitment includes 4 weekend shifts per month
• Floating to other inpatient units (including CCU and ED) is expected as part of normal operations

Requirements

• Current RN or LPN license
• BLS certification
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to teamwork and patient-centered care
• Ability to manage a full patient load

Dress Code

Scrubs (top and bottoms), with an optional long-sleeve shirt or scrub jacket underneath. No fleece, hoodies, denim, or shoes with holes.
