Nuclear Medicine Technologist — Travel Contract

Apple Valley, CA | Days, 4x10 | 13-Week Contract

This acute care facility is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment starting ASAP. The department handles an average daily caseload of 5–12 patients, with the majority of volume coming from cardiac stress tests and other foundational nuclear medicine studies.

Shift Details

• Day shifts, 4x10-hour schedule (start times vary between 06:00 and 07:30)
• 5x8 scheduling may also be considered
• Evening and weekend call required; call is shared among three technologists

Clinical Scope

• Procedures include stress testing (exercise/rest, pharmacological, adenosine/persantine infusions), bone, renal, liver, ventilation/perfusion, whole body, I-123 uptake, sestamibi parathyroid, cerebral blood flow, and sentinel node studies
• Patient population: pediatrics through geriatrics
• No PET imaging
• Transport team available to assist with patient movement

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Tech experience (first-time travelers welcome)
• Active California state license required at time of submission (pending license not accepted)
• BLS required
• ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) or NMTCB certification required
• IV start and maintenance skills required
