ICU Registered Nurse | Los Angeles, CA | 13-Week Contract

Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour days)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

About the Role

This ICU position is based at an acute care facility in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles. The unit provides high-acuity nursing care to critically ill patients, requiring strong assessment, care planning, and clinical decision-making skills. Nurses in this role supervise and coordinate with multidisciplinary team members to deliver safe, patient-centered care.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Assess, analyze, and develop individualized care plans for critically ill patients
• Coordinate care delivery across disciplines and evaluate progress toward patient outcomes
• Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning
• Delegate appropriately to nursing team members and ensure continuity of care

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in California
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU or acute care experience
• BLS certification (required)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (required)
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification (required)
• BSN preferred

Additional Notes

• ICU experience with electronic health records is required
• 36- or 48-hour weekly schedule available
• Stroke-related assessment competency expected given NIHSS requirement
