Registered Nurse – ICU
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver coordinated nursing care in the ICU. You will supervise and direct assigned nursing staff, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and apply critical thinking and clinical judgment to support high-acuity patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, analyze, and develop individualized care plans for assigned patients
- Implement evidence-based interventions and evaluate patient progress toward clinical outcomes
- Supervise and coordinate activities of nursing team members
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure safe, compassionate care
- Educate patients and families on health management and treatment plans
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
- Delegate tasks appropriately and maintain effective team communication
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in California
- Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification
- Minimum two years recent acute care nursing experience
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Position Details
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 36/48 schedule (guaranteed 36 hours/week)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: December 7, 2026
- Location: Bakersfield, CA
