Emergency Department RN — Travel Contract | Salem, VA

This night-shift opportunity places you in a fast-paced Emergency Department managing a broad range of acuity levels, from behavioral health presentations to high-acuity medical emergencies. The team is collaborative, team-oriented, and values clinicians who bring a calm, adaptable presence to a busy environment.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week contract (with potential for extension — 91 total weeks available)
• Four weekend shifts per four-week scheduling period (Friday or Saturday nights)
• No on-call required

Clinical Scope

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of ER experience
• 2–3 prior travel assignments required
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume emergency settings strongly preferred

Required Certifications

• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC

Preferred Certifications

• ENPC, NRP, NIHSS
