CVICU Travel Nurse | Nashville, TN | Nights | 13-Week Contract
This cardiovascular ICU opportunity places you at the center of a high-volume, advanced cardiac surgery program in Nashville, TN. The unit specializes in immediate post-operative cardiac surgery care and advanced cardiac device management, supported by an intensivist on-site 24/7.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36 hours/week guaranteed
- 2 weekends/month required
- Holiday rotation: 1 summer holiday + 2 winter holidays
Clinical Scope
- Post-operative open-heart and advanced cardiac surgery patients
- Device management: ECMO, Centrimag, HM3 LVAD, IABP, Impella
- CRRT management
- Procedures performed on unit: central line insertion, Swan-Ganz catheter insertion, intubation, hemodynamic monitoring
Required Qualifications
- Strong CVICU or critical care background
- Proficiency with PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring
- BLS and ACLS required
- Preferred: IABP, Impella, and CRRT experience
Float Policy
Travel nurses float as needed, primarily to other ICU settings and occasionally to other floors.
Dress Code
Scrubs in black, red, or galaxy blue; scrub jackets or vests only.
