Inpatient Rehabilitation Nurse — Salem, Virginia
This travel nursing opportunity is in an inpatient rehabilitation unit in Salem, VA, where nurses work alongside a full multidisciplinary team — including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, physiatry, physician assistants, and neuropsychology — to help patients achieve functional independence.
Assignment Details
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour nights)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Start Date: September 21, 2026
Unit & Clinical Scope
The unit serves patients requiring intensive inpatient rehabilitation across a range of diagnoses. Nurses carry a patient load of 5–7 and are supported by unit technicians. Clinical procedures include:
- IV, PICC line, and PEG tube medication administration
- Blood administration
- Tracheostomy care
- Tube feeding
- Foley catheter insertion and bladder irrigation
- Bladder scanning
Weekend requirement: every other weekend. Float to Med/Surg departments may be required.
Requirements
- Active Virginia RN license
- BLS certification
- Prior inpatient rehabilitation experience required
- Med/Surg background preferred
Dress Code
Navy blue or white solid scrubs
