Emergency Room RN — 12-Hour Nights | PRN/Shift Work

Nyack, NY | 13-Week Contract

This is a PRN/shift-work position in a fast-paced Emergency Department, with an estimated 24 hours per week — hours are not guaranteed. The department sees approximately 145–150 patients daily across a mixed ED and psychiatric population, with a Fast Track program and a separate area. Travelers with experience may be assigned to .

Shift & Scheduling

• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour nights
• Weekend and holiday availability required
• No floating, no on-call requirement
• 2-day unit-specific orientation

Clinical Environment

• High-volume ED managing medical, trauma, stroke, and behavioral health cases
• Separate area; hold patients mixed within the ED
• RNs are responsible for reading their own telemetry strips
• RNs and PCAs draw labs; phlebotomy takes over upon admission
• Respiratory therapy sets up and manages ventilators; RNs troubleshoot as needed

Required Certifications & Qualifications

• Active New York RN license
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience
• Pediatric ED experience preferred
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS required
• TNCC preferred
• Proficiency with electronic health records required
