Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool Nurse

Location: Austin, TX

Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

About the Role

You'll provide direct nursing care across a pediatric critical care float pool, supporting multiple high-acuity units. You'll implement and monitor patient care plans, serve as a primary coordinator across disciplines, carry out physician and nursing orders, and assess discharge planning needs in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Unit Details

Float assignments include:

• Pediatric ICU (PICU)
• Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
• Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
• Acute medical-surgical departments
• Emergency room

You'll work alongside charge nurses and patient care technicians in a fast-paced critical care environment.

Requirements

• Current RN license (Texas)
• Minimum 2 years recent experience in Pediatric ICU, CVICU, or NICU
• BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required
• Scrubs: Navy blue

Preferred

• Acute care or emergency room experience
• TNCC credential

Onboarding

Standard credentialing, background checks, drug screening, immunization verification, and health assessments are required per facility policy.
