Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool Nurse
Position Overview
The facility seeks a Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool Nurse to provide direct nursing care across multiple high-acuity pediatric units. You'll support the PICU, NICU, CVICU, and may float to acute medical-surgical departments and the emergency room as needed.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care aligned with established policies, procedures, and protocols
- Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions with the healthcare team
- Coordinate care across all disciplines to ensure seamless patient outcomes
- Execute physician and nursing orders promptly
- Assess discharge planning needs and collaborate with the healthcare team
About the Role
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Scrub Color: Navy blue
- Unit Support: Charge nurse and patient care technicians available on all units
Requirements
- Current RN license (state-specific verification required)
- 2+ years recent experience in pediatric ICU, CVICU, or NICU
- BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required
- Acute care or emergency room experience preferred
