CVOR RN – Scrub & Circulate

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced Cardiovascular OR RN for scrub and circulating duties. You'll support complex cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Scrub experience is preferred; strong circulating candidates are also considered.

Shift & Schedule

• Variable rotating shifts: 7:00 AM, 9:30 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM
• On-call: 3–4 times per month with 30-minute report time
• Rotating weekend and holiday call (minimum 1 weekend per month)
• Mandatory overtime as part of unit coverage rotation
• Scrubs provided

Requirements

• Active RN license; CT license required within 24 hours of start
• 4–5 years OR RN experience (combined OR/CVOR acceptable)
• Circulating experience mandatory
• Demonstrated independent competency in orthopedic, spine, and neuro surgery
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• CNOR preferred
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
• Copy of NURSYS required at submission

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate and/or scrub during cardiac/thoracic procedures (CABG, valve repairs/replacements, aortic repairs)
• Maintain sterile field and manage specialized cardiac instrumentation
• Coordinate with perfusion team on CPB setup and management
• Perform accurate counts and emergency equipment management
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and perfusion
• Document procedural details and patient data per standards
