Labor & Delivery RN — Night Shift | Rancho Mirage, CA | 13-Week Contract

This active Labor and Delivery unit cares for childbearing women and well newborns, managing the full continuum of labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum — including couplet care. The unit also houses an OB Emergency Department, adding to the breadth of clinical experience available.

Shift & Schedule

• 4×12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend coverage required
• On-call: once per pay period (60-minute callback requirement); no call shifts on a 4×12 contract
• Travelers must work every other holiday; no time off in the first two weeks

Clinical Scope

High-acuity obstetric care including vaginal and cesarean deliveries, postpartum hemorrhage management, magnesium sulfate therapy, epidural assistance, internal/external fetal monitoring, IUPC placement, neonatal resuscitation, and couplet care. Interdisciplinary support includes in-house anesthesiology, hospitalists, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and respiratory services.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years L&D experience; 4 years preferred
• Prior travel experience required
• Couplet care and postpartum experience required
• California RN license required at time of submittal
• Permanent address must be 50+ miles from the facility
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced (Advanced preferred)
• Floats within skill set may be expected

Scrubs: Wine-colored

Vaccinations: Flu vaccine required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccine not required

Extensions: One extension permitted; a break equal to the total time worked is required before returning.
