About the Role
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver coordinated care in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. You'll work the night shift in a fast-paced acute care setting, managing high-acuity cardiac patients and providing direct clinical oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care and supervise nursing staff at various levels
- Collect and analyze patient data to inform diagnoses and individualized care plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care
- Implement evidence-based interventions and monitor progress toward patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on health information and treatment plans
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
- Delegate tasks appropriately and support healthcare team members
- Apply critical thinking and professional judgment in all clinical decisions
Requirements
- Current RN licensure in California (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification from an approved vendor (required)
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience (required)
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Acute care facility experience preferred
Schedule & Commitment
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- 8-week contract
