Respiratory Therapist – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility's Respiratory Therapy Department is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll work the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) providing comprehensive respiratory care across acute and critical care settings.
Clinical Scope
You'll evaluate and manage patients with respiratory insufficiencies, developing individualized care plans based on clinical diagnosis and patient response. Your responsibilities include:
- Administering complex respiratory care modalities and managing specialized equipment
- Advanced airway management, mechanical ventilation setup, and monitoring
- Real-time patient assessment and adjustment of treatment plans
- Emergency resuscitation response as part of the code team
- Patient and family education on condition management and community resources
You'll support diverse patient populations across the Emergency Department, Medical and Surgical ICUs, and medical-surgical floors, collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams.
Requirements
- Current respiratory therapy license
- Acute care and critical care experience required
- ACLS/BLS certification
- Standard onboarding credentials (MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, TB clearance, Tdap, Varicella, drug screening, background check)
- Professional references and employment verification
