Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) – PM Shift
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced PACU nurse for a 13-week contract. You'll care for post-operative patients during their immediate recovery phase, monitoring vital signs, managing pain and nausea, and facilitating smooth transitions to the next level of care.
Shift & Schedule
- 4 × 10-hour shifts per week (40 hours total)
- 10:30 AM – 9:00 PM
- PM/evening coverage
Requirements
- Minimum 18 months PACU or relevant nursing experience
- Current Compact or Georgia RN license (required at start)
- One professional reference preferred (not required)
Contract Details
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: December 7, 2026
- Guaranteed hours
- Must reside within 50-mile radius of the facility
What You'll Do
Monitor and assess recovering patients, manage post-operative pain and complications, administer medications, maintain accurate documentation, and coordinate care with the surgical and nursing teams. You'll work in a fast-paced environment requiring strong assessment skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly to patient needs.
