Pre-Op Travel Position

Position Overview

Join the pre-operative department as a vital member of the surgical team. You'll prepare patients for surgery, conduct pre-operative assessments, manage patient flow, and ensure all documentation and protocols are completed prior to procedures.

Shift & Schedule

• 5 × 8-hour shifts per week (40 hours/week)
• 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• 13-week contract
• Guaranteed hours

Requirements

• Minimum 18 months of experience in pre-operative nursing or a related clinical role
• Current RN license (or applicable healthcare credential for your state)
• Ability to work a consistent day shift schedule

What You'll Do

• Perform pre-operative vital signs, assessments, and patient interviews
• Verify surgical consent forms, lab results, and imaging
• Coordinate with surgical teams and anesthesia
• Provide patient education and emotional support
• Maintain detailed charting and procedural documentation
• Collaborate with OR and recovery staff to ensure seamless patient transitions
