Emergency Department Nurse

Position Overview

Join the Emergency Department as a Nurse for a 16-week contract. You'll work in a high-acuity ED providing emergency care to a diverse patient population, with a special focus on geriatric emergency services.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour rotating day shifts: 3A–3P and 7A–7P
• 36 hours per week
• One weekend shift per contracted week (or two weekend shifts every other weekend)
• Minimum one holiday per contract
• Blocked scheduling available: request rotating or fixed blocks (Thurs/Fri/Sat, Fri/Sat/Sun, or Sat/Sun/Mon)
• On-call optional but recommended: 2 hours per week average, shifts between 7P–7A, available in 4, 8, 12, or 16-hour blocks

Clinical Environment

The facility operates a collaborative, supportive ED with modern resources and experienced leadership focused on high-quality patient care. You'll care for high-acuity patients across multiple treatment areas and contribute to specialized geriatric emergency care services.

Requirements

• 2+ years recent RN experience
• 2+ years U.S. work history (required for international candidates)
• Active NY RN license
• AHA BLS and NIH certifications
• Residence more than 50 miles from the facility

• Start date: January 5, 2027
• Guaranteed hours: 112 contract weeks
