Medical-Surgical RN – Acute Care of Elderly (ACE) / Alternate Level of Care Unit

Rochester, NY | Nights | 16-Week Contract

This night-shift opportunity is in a specialized unit focused on the acute care of elderly patients and those requiring alternate levels of care. The unit serves a geriatric population with complex, multifaceted medical needs, requiring skilled assessment, care coordination, and patient/family communication.

Shift & Scheduling

• 12-hour nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (with 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM rotation)
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• 1 weekend shift required per week, or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend
• At least 1 holiday shift required per contract
• Flexibility with the facility's scheduling needs is essential; block booking may be requested but is not guaranteed

Contract Details

• Duration: 16 weeks
• Start Date: January 5, 2027
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of acute hospital nursing experience
• At least 1 recent year in Med-Surg or Telemetry
• Non-U.S. candidates must have 2 years of U.S. work history

Licenses & Certifications

• Active New York RN license
• AHA BLS certification (required)
• Charge nurse experience preferred, not required
