Registered Nurse – Acute Care of the Elderly (ACE) / Alternate Level of Care Unit
Rochester, NY | Med-Surg | 16-Week Contract
This travel RN opportunity places you in an Acute Care of the Elderly (ACE) and Alternate Level of Care (ALC) unit, caring for older adult patients requiring specialized medical management and transition-of-care planning. The unit focuses on preserving functional independence, managing complex comorbidities, and coordinating appropriate disposition for patients who no longer meet acute-care criteria but require ongoing support.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights, 12-hour shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM / 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM rotation
- 36 or 48 hours per week available
- 1 weekend shift per week, or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend
- Minimum 1 holiday shift required per contract
- Charge nurse experience requested but not required
Contract Details
- Duration: 16 weeks | Start: January 5, 2027
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed; schedule flexibility is required
Required Qualifications
- Active New York RN license
- AHA BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of acute hospital experience, including at least 1 recent year in med-surg or telemetry
- Non-U.S. candidates must have 2 years of U.S. work history
