Speech Language Pathologist – Acute Care Rehabilitation
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join its acute care rehabilitation team. You'll provide swallowing and communication assessments and interventions for patients recovering from acute illness and injury.
Schedule & Duration
- 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch)
- Rotating schedule including Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday
- 13-week contract
Clinical Responsibilities
- Perform Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) and Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) studies independently
- Complete approximately 8 treatments per 8-hour shift
- Maintain a minimum patient load of 1 patient per hour
- Work across multiple care settings within the facility
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- MBS Certification
- FEES Certification
- Minimum 1 year of acute care experience
- Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (NC)
