Certified Surgical Technician – 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technician for a 13-week assignment in North Adams, MA. You'll work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (8-hour days, 40 hours per week).

Clinical Scope

This role centers on surgical assistance with a strong focus on total joint replacement procedures. You'll also provide support in endoscopy procedures approximately twice weekly—this is a core responsibility of the position. Float assignments to affiliated facilities' OR and endoscopy units occur as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Current CST certification (valid within 1 year) [REQUIRED]
• Minimum 3 years current surgical technician experience [REQUIRED]
• Total joint replacement experience [REQUIRED]
• Endoscopy experience [REQUIRED]
• NBSTSA certification (equivalent certifications not accepted) [REQUIRED]
• Preceptor experience [REQUIRED]
• Active AHA BLS certification [REQUIRED]
• Supervisory reference from the past 2 years of employment [REQUIRED]

Important Requirements

• This is a small community without public transportation. You must have your own reliable vehicle.
• You must work the Christmas Eve/Christmas Day and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day holiday blocks (and surrounding weekends) if scheduled.
• Maximum 5 days of requested time off accepted.
• All scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of application.

• 8-hour non-billable orientation included.
