ICU / Mixed Specialty Intensive Care — Travel RN

San Leandro, CA | Days 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | 13-Week Contract

This mixed-specialty ICU unit serves adult and geriatric patients across trauma, neuro, medical, surgical, and cardiovascular acuity levels. The unit does not perform cardiac surgery cases but does manage complex cardiovascular patients requiring mechanical circulatory support devices.

Shift & Schedule

• Day shift: 3×12-hour shifts (07:00–19:30)
• Every other weekend required

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active California RN license
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Preferred Certifications

• PALS, CCRN

Required Clinical Skills

• Medical, neuro, surgical, and trauma ICU care
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Impella and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) management
• IV insulin protocols and titration of cardiac/vasoactive drips
• Ventilator management and care of ventilated patients
• Central line, PICC line, and arterial line management
• Blood product administration
• GI surgery patient care
• EEG monitoring in-unit

Preferred Background

• CVICU experience strongly preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
