Emergency Department RN — Freestanding ED | Roanoke, VA
This 13-week night shift contract places you in a freestanding emergency department setting, managing both high- and low-acuity patients in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Shift & Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 4 weekend shifts per schedule block
Clinical Scope
The ED cares for a broad range of patients, from lower-acuity presentations to critically ill cases. Daily responsibilities include:
- Medication administration
- Care of critical and unstable patients
- Lab collection and interpretation support
- Independent decision-making with team collaboration
Required Certifications
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- TNCC
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior emergency department nursing experience is required; candidates must demonstrate ability to care for critically ill patients
- ENPC certification preferred
Dress Code
Navy blue scrubs
