Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) — Travel RN

Salem, VA | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13-Week Contract

This SICU position supports a high-acuity surgical patient population requiring close monitoring and advanced critical care interventions. The unit manages complex cases utilizing continuous renal replacement therapy, intra-aortic balloon pump support, mechanical circulatory support, targeted temperature management, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring. Common procedures include drain management and central line placement.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend required; no on-call obligations

Required Qualifications

• Current ICU experience (required)
• ACLS and BLS (required)
• Surgical ICU experience (preferred)
