CT/X-Ray Technologist
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a CT/X-Ray Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll work the 3:00 PM–11:30 PM shift (8-hour shifts, 40 hours/week) performing diagnostic imaging procedures with an emphasis on CT scanning and radiography.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT and X-Ray imaging exams per physician orders, ensuring accurate positioning and optimal image quality
- Prepare and administer contrast media; monitor patients for adverse reactions
- Review patient history and screen for contraindications (allergies, renal function, pregnancy)
- Insert IVs and draw blood as needed for imaging protocols
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment; troubleshoot technical issues independently
- Follow radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles
- Document exams accurately in RIS/PACS systems
- Collaborate with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure diagnostic quality
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and CT (ARRT-CT)
- Massachusetts radiologic technology license
- Active BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 2 years of current CT/X-Ray experience
- IV certification/venipuncture skills
- Previous travel experience (minimum 6 months) and agency experience (minimum 6 months–1 year) required
- Valid driver's license and personal vehicle
Additional Requirements
- Available to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Must commit to the full 13-week assignment with no concurrent per diem/PRN work
- All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application (maximum 5 days)
