Certified Surgical Technologist – Heart & Vascular
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to join the heart and vascular surgical team. In this role, you will provide direct patient care in alignment with established policies and protocols, serve as a key coordinator across all disciplines, and ensure seamless communication of patient conditions to the healthcare team.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor patient care plans
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the healthcare team
- Coordinate care across all disciplines for well-coordinated patient outcomes
- Execute physician and nursing orders accurately and efficiently
- Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
- Apply critical thinking and sound judgment in a fast-paced surgical environment
- Follow Standard Precautions and use personal protective equipment as required
Required Qualifications
- NBSTSA Certification (Certified Surgical Technologist)
- Extensive heart and vascular surgical experience – essential
- Current license verification through Nursys
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a high-acuity setting
