Emergency Department – Night Shift RN

Position Overview

The facility's Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN for a 12-week night assignment. You'll work a 3x12-hour schedule (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) in a high-volume, fast-paced environment caring for patients across all age groups.

Clinical Scope

You'll manage patients with diverse acuities and diagnoses, including those requiring:

• Arterial line management
• Mechanical ventilation care
• Central line management
• Continuous IV sedation
• Vasopressor therapy
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Multisystem organ dysfunction
• Rapid response coordination

You'll work with an interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, rapid response, pharmacy, radiology, physical therapy, and social services.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; first-time travelers not accepted
• Current RN license (GA or Compact)
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
• Proficiency with the facility's charting system
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred

Schedule & Expectations

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend
• No call required
• Float within scope of practice as needed

Onboarding

• 24-hour orientation
• All compliance documents due Tuesday prior to start
• Full compliance required to begin on schedule
• Maximum 7 days paid time off per contract
