Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced ICU nurse for its Neuroscience ICU. This is a 13-week contract running 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, with 36 guaranteed hours per week.
Unit Details
Clinical Scope
Typical procedures and responsibilities include ventriculostomy insertion, post-thrombectomy and post-TPA care, post-tumor resection management, lumbar drain and ventricular management (q1h checks), and pupillometer monitoring.
Requirements
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification
- ICU experience required
- Experience with neuro/stroke patients required
- Neuroscience ICU experience preferred
Schedule & Expectations
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Every other weekend (no on-call)
- Potential float to neuroscience step-down unit within the hospital with ability to manage 4–5 patients
