Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Richmond, VA

This 13-week contract places you on a busy sixth-floor Med-Surg/Telemetry unit that manages a diverse patient population with general medical, surgical, and trauma-related diagnoses. The unit operates at a high pace and values clinicians who bring positive energy and a strong patient focus.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week

Clinical Scope

• Telemetry monitoring with continuous bedside rhythm assessment during IV push medication administration
• Procedures include small incision and drainage, peritoneal dialysis, and occasional thoracentesis
• Wound vac management and vascular Doppler assessment
• Interpreter services available for non-English-speaking patients

Required Certifications

• BLS and ACLS (must be current)
• Must pass a Basic Cardiac Rhythm assessment prior to placement

Preferred Qualifications

• Medical-surgical nursing experience
• Strong patient-centered communication skills

Dress Code

• Navy scrubs; no cotton jackets (dress code strictly enforced)
