Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN | Richmond, VA | Days

This 6th-floor telemetry/med-surg unit manages a diverse patient population with a focus on medical-surgical and trauma cases. The unit is an active, high-energy environment with strong team structure on both day and night shifts.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week contract

Clinical Scope

• Telemetry and rhythm monitoring with bedside cardiac monitoring during IV push medication administration
• Procedures include small incision & drainage, peritoneal dialysis, and occasional thoracentesis
• Vascular Doppler assessments and wound vac management
• Interpreter services available for diverse patient populations

Required Certifications

• BLS and ACLS (must be current)
• Must pass a basic cardiac rhythm assessment prior to placement

Preferred Experience

• Medical-surgical nursing background
• Strong patient-centered communication skills
