ICU Registered Nurse — Richmond, VA

This travel RN opportunity is in a medical-surgical ICU managing high-acuity patients requiring ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and complex medication titration. The unit operates with a low nurse-to-patient ratio, ensuring focused, intensive care delivery.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour days)
• Every other weekend required; no on-call
• Guaranteed 36 hours/week
• Contract duration: 91 weeks

Clinical Requirements

Candidates must demonstrate:

• Proficiency in care of ventilated patients
• Proficiency in titrating sedation, analgesia, and vasoactive/cardiac medications

Preferred experience includes:

• Medical ICU background
• Rapid response and code blue team participation

Procedures Performed

• Assistance with RSI and arterial or central line placement
• Slow/continuous renal replacement therapy (SLED)

Certifications

• ACLS — required
• CCRN — preferred

Float Requirements

Nurses may float to the IMCU, Neuro/Surgical ICU, or Med-Surg as needed.
