Telemetry RN – Clinical Decision Unit | Richmond, VA

This is an exciting opportunity to join a brand-new Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) providing 24/7 telemetry monitoring. Located on the first floor adjacent to Same Day Surgery, this unit offers a focused Med/Surg Telemetry environment with a collaborative, small-team dynamic.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend required
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Contract duration: 13 weeks

Unit & Clinical Scope

• General Med/Surg Telemetry patient population
• Continuous telemetry monitoring
• Procedures include general telemetry management and lab draws
• Floating may be required to similar units or the ED for telemetry holds
• Patient experience standards include bedside shift reports and hourly safety rounding

Required Certifications & Skills

• BLS (required)
• ACLS (required)
• Must pass facility Telemetry Competency Test
• Ability to draw labs

Dress Code

• Navy blue scrubs

Team Structure

• Staffed with 2 RNs and 1 PCT per shift
