Progressive Care Unit (PCU) — Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking experienced nurses for its progressive care unit on the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). This is a 13-week contract with 5 positions available and guaranteed 36 hours per week.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of hospital nursing experience
• Active compact license required at time of submission
• Current RN licensure

About the Role

You'll provide care to patients requiring intermediate-level monitoring and intervention. PCU patients typically include those stepping down from intensive care, post-operative cases, and patients with chronic conditions requiring closer observation than a medical-surgical floor. You'll manage cardiac monitoring, medication administration, wound care, and patient education in a collaborative team environment.

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
