LDRP Nurse – Labor & Delivery | Richmond, VA
Day Shift | 13-Week Contract | 36 Guaranteed Hours/Week
This LDRP unit offers a collaborative, team-oriented environment caring for patients across the full spectrum of labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum. The unit manages vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, antepartum testing, and newborn procedures including circumcisions and bili light care.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Every 3rd weekend required
- Self-scheduling platform
- Float to sister facility Labor & Delivery/Postpartum unit as needed
Required Clinical Skills
- Fetal monitor interpretation
- High-risk antepartum care and active labor management
- C-section circulation
- Postpartum care and couplet management
- Circumcision assist and bili light care
- Lab draws from mother and newborn
- Magnesium administration for pre-eclamptic patients
Certifications Required
- Fetal Monitor Certification
- NRP
- BLS
Patient Experience Standards
- Bedside report required
- Safety rounding expected
Dress Code
- Navy scrubs
