Labor and Delivery RN
Position Overview
The facility is seeking experienced Labor and Delivery RNs for a 13-week contract in Richmond, Virginia. You'll work day shift (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) on a dynamic L&D unit that manages labor, delivery, recovery, , antepartum care, and cesarean sections with on-site support from hospitalists, midwives, anesthesia, and neonatologists 24/7.
Clinical Scope
Your responsibilities include:
- Labor and delivery care across LDR and areas
- Fetal heart rate monitoring and labor support
- Circulating for cesarean deliveries
- First-hour newborn care (skin-to-skin care, breastfeeding assistance, light and aroma therapy)
- Care coordination in a patient-centered environment
Requirements
- Current Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring certification (within 2 years)
- Current L&D experience (within 2 years)
- Active NRP and BLS certifications
- Experience at high-volume facilities preferred
Unit Details
- 36 guaranteed hours weekly
- Navy blue scrubs, closed-toe shoes required
- Tattoos and piercings must be covered
- Collaborative team environment with 70 staff members
